NYC based creator and actor

my story

I am a professional actor, writer, designer, and director with almost two decades of experience performing and creating. I grew up in various parts of Georgia, Tennessee, and New Mexico and graduated from The University of Iowa with a BA in Literature and honors in Theatre Arts. After Iowa, I spent many years in Chicago building my acting and filmmaking career while unearthing myself and my creative center. Eventually, I realized that I wanted more access to myself artistically and to the professional community at large in order to continue to expand into my creative purpose. I relocated to New York City to attend The Juilliard School where I recently graduated with an MFA in acting. During my time there, I also continued to hone my aesthetic and skills as a director developing various live and on-camera performances in collaboration with a diverse array of Juilliard artists.

In addition to working as an actor and filmmaker in Chicago, I also worked for five years teaching sexual violence prevention in the US Navy with Catharsis Productions. Their pedagogy and philosophies, including their tagline to “fight fire with funny”, expanded my reverence for and commitment to social change through compassionate conversation, well-curated arguments, clear values, and humor.

I believe that storytelling is one of the most effective tools in the world for human connection, healing, and social reform. This fuels my dedication to creating and performing; to be a ferocious defender and delicate preserver of truths; to delight, liberate, stimulate, and incite fierce love.
